Mountain biking is more than a sport for me - the friendships that develop are especially valuable.
Who am I and what defines me?
I grew up in flat Berlin and started motocross early on. Around the age of 14, I increasingly rode MTB and quickly fell in love with the sport.
Passion, progress, and the best moments on two wheels
Racing or cycling?
A tough decision, as I love both! Hometrail laps and park days with friends are always a blast. Racing, on the other hand, offers a different kind of challenge: pushing yourself, analyzing and perfecting your riding. And finally, achieving a good run or even a spot on the podium – that's an incomparable feeling!
Best MTB experience?
Besides amazing bike park trips, I'm thrilled by how well-connected the MTB scene is and how quickly new friendships form – for me, that's the most valuable aspect of the sport!
Why do I love mountain biking?
MTB is the perfect sport for me: out of the city, into nature – whether it's the local forest or the mountains on the Ligurian coast with their gelaterias. It offers a joint-friendly, adventure-filled workout. And when I ride a trail fast, I'm completely in the moment – mind clear, just me and the trail. I only know this feeling from mountain biking!
Proudest moment?
I'm proud to have always competed very independently in my competitions – I often travel by train and camp in a tent. That's how I managed to become the German U19 champion. It's an honor for me every time to be able to start in the World Cup!
Tip for young talents:
Don't get too obsessed with the goal of becoming a pro. It's much more important to have fun riding and spend many hours on the bike. Progress will come naturally over time – practice makes perfect!
